I draw. I write. I get way too attached to fictional characters, and yes, sometimes I cry over color palettes.

Hi, I’m Cassidy

I’m an artist, children’s book illustrator, and author whose work blends storytelling with expressive color. I believe art can be a place to rest, to remember, and to feel understood.

I work primarily with watercolor, because I like when the paint does its own thing and reminds me I’m not in charge (some days that’s comforting, some days it’s chaos - both are good for art). I have a deep love for visual narratives, particularly for children but also for grown-ups who remember what it was like to feel everything at once.

My studio is located in Raleigh, North Carolina, where I live with my family, too many animals, and half-dry paint palettes. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Thanks for being here!

My studio is where curiosity leads, watercolor misbehaves, and feelings are welcome to stay as long as they need to.
